"Lexx has been difficult to deal with. If we have to kill him to remove him from play, so be it." Andisel spoke without hesitation in that decision. "I'm sure Kane will be agreeable enough to sell her eggs for her freedom and we can continue keeping Kaimar in stasis as a backup. Lexx is not our only pawn in this game, nor the most important. With two female Rishan, we can easily end up with more than enough males to improve upon our stock. Our mistake with Lexx will not be repeated, because our new generation of players will be bred in the facility and never know the freedom he knew." Andisel abruptly separated herself from the relay, leaving behind a set of responses to be echoed on to anyone else who had questions. If they needed anything more, they would have to wait until she felt like giving out any more information. Right now, she wanted to observe Kane and see how she would react to the offer she was about to receive. Kane still sat in a dark cell. There was a very dim light in the center of the ceiling, enough that she could see the outline of the bed she was sitting on and the sheets folded neatly to one side of it. The lone Rishan stared at her hands. The heavy golden bracers that encircled her slender wrists rang slightly as she toyed with the retractable cable. It allowed her hands two feet apart, but with one push of a button on the control remote the bracelets would lock together. "Stupid … stupid …" Kane murmered to herself. She had been muttering that for hours now, but it was already too late. "It's always so nice to have time to reflect on how stupid I was. I had a chance to be free … but noooo… I had to be greedy. I had to want more than a little island. Sure,… I couldn't leave if I wanted to be free, but at least there I wasn't bound." "I … I miss it so much." Kane shivered, allowing a rare tear to slide down her cheek.

  1. I would suggest that maybe she learned her lesson, but I don’t think she has. She brought all of this on herself, and I really don’t pity her. If Lexx were to rescue her, she would just go on longing for a life of wealth and excitement.
