"I have made up my mind." Maelinn turned suddenly, pushing Riley's shoulder so abruptly that he had no choice but to turn and face her. And then, she did something completely unexpected, especially to Riley. She leaned forward and kissed him full on the lips. Riley was so shocked, he didn't resist. It happened so fast. His mind went momentarily blank in horror and far in the background he could hear Zaile roaring Maelinn's name as though Riley had somehow just defiled her.

    How was that? One kiss of Riley would make the Sairan in her his eternal slave? I always wondered where those vampire myths came from…well, now we know, huh? 😀
