Riley picked up a biscuit off the tray he had brought in for Lexx and stared at it absently. “The Architects do not make mistakes. It’s gone.” Riley said. “What do I do? How do I get Chel’s father to like me?” And it all came back to Chel. Victor Reid had given him such a scornful look that it had burned into the depths of his heart. It had never mattered before, what others thought of him, but now he had to be on someone’s good side and he wasn’t sure how to accomplish that. “When you figure that out, do share!” Riley tossed the biscuit over his shoulder, deciding that if Lexx was not touching his food, he might as well not eat any either. “Your brother won’t talk to me.”

  1. Smooth Riley. Real smooth … Like sand paper.

  2. Sometimes the thorny truth is better than a sugar-coated lie.

  3. That’s one of those questions like “How do you understand women?” – There’s no easy answer, and you’re probably better off just winging it and hoping for the best than wasting time trying to figure it out.

  4. Well, that’s no reason to throw perfectly good food around, young man!

  5. Remind me — does Lexx know that Zaile is his brother?

    1. He does. And he also knows that Zaile doesn’t like him.

  6. Lexx looks like a Frankenstein monster when he’s depressed. All he needs are some stitches. Hey, Halloween will be here soon! 😉

  7. Also, if you should find out the answer, God will hire you as his new sales rep 😀
