"Don't worry about me." Lexx got to his feet and helped Chel up. He was speaking in an unusually cheerful tone and grinning. "I've already healed." He held Chel's hand as they walked. "I just need to clean up, change my clothes and it'll look like nothing ever happened."
"I hope so." Chel smiled. "I ... do worry about you, sometimes, Lexx."
"Don't waste your time, Chel. I'm fine. You have nothing to worry about."
"Sorry, Lexx." Riley took a brief second to pop into Lexx's relay. "I didn't expect Zaile to react so violently."
"It's all true?" Lexx changed the subject immediately. "The ADC signed me illegally?"
"Yes." The littan nodded. They wanted you, Lexx. I just wanted to let you know you do have a family to go home to. When this is all over. Family ... just like you." Riley hesitated. "I really think Zaile will come around if you give him time. He just has some things to deal with on his own. Go on and get cleaned up, I'll have them hold dinner until you return."
