Meanwhile, Stealth and Fly were making themselves at home in Chel’s house.  Nobody was there but them and after a little work, Stealth managed to open the refrigerator door.  When she was small, it had been an impossible matter to open the door because she wasn’t strong enough.  Now it was tricky to get the door open because her paws were too big to get a good grip on the side.  She had ended up carefully using her claws.  Then, she was met with a second dilmena.  The jug of milk was in the middle of the fridge too far back for her to reach without breaking the shelves and knocking everything down. As much as she wanted the milk, she didn’t want to make a mess and be in trouble with Chel.  “Fly.  I have a little proposition for you.”  Stealth purred at the squirrel who was up on the cabinet with a dilemma of his own.  He was trying to knock off the lid of a cookie jar that was too heavy for him to budge.  “Come over here and help me and I’ll open the cookie jar for you.” Fly wasted no time dropping off the counter and leaping up into the refrigerator. “Push that jug to the edge, Fly.”  Stealth gestured with one paw at the milk.  “Carefully.” Fly nodded and jumped onto the shelf. After a moment’s look, Fly figured out what he needed to do to move the heavy jug and braced himself against the back of the fridge.  It was easier to move the jug than the top of the cookie jar.  Fly pushed the jug forward with his feet just far enough for Stealth to reach in and grasp the handle in her teeth. “Ok!”  Fly leapt out of the fridge as the door started to slowly close.  “now open the cooking jar for me!”  He was back up on the cabinet in a flash. Stealth smirked and pushed the refrigerator door the rest of the way closed with a hind leg.  She sat the jug down on the floor and stood up next to the cabinet to help Fly with the lid.  It only took a moment to pop the lid and Fly stood by watching with jittery twitches of his ears, salivating at the thought of the treasure trove of cookies inside.
