Kip vanished into the closet, with Chel waiting until he was out of sight to open the door.
"I'll figure out a way to go out tomorrow and let Lexx know." Chel opened the door quickly, putting a smile on her face. "Dad!! What're you doing home so early?!" She hoped she sounded pleasantly surprised and not guilty.
Kip listened in from the closet, increasing his reception so he wouldn't lose a single fragment of the conversation. This was all very interesting to him.
