“Lexx, I didn’t expect you to be here.” Chel quickly cut Lexx off before he could say anything else. She was giving him an odd nervous look and kept glancing to the side. “Where’s Riley?”
Lexx was briefly taken aback. Chel was asking for Riley? Why Riley? Riley knew what was going on. Why hadn’t Riley – oh. Lexx realized he had told Riley to go away and being the ‘friend’ he was, Riley had promptly left.
