"I'll see to her ... just don't send her back, Riley!" Damian rushed by Chel without a word or a dirty look in her direction. "If she's here or on Lexx's ship, it doesn't matter to me. It's better than where she was."
The comment reminded Chel that this was all Riley's fault, not hers. She glared daggers at Riley.
"Why are you looking at me like this is all my fault??" Riley scowled back. "Zaile's the one who purchased her contract and dumped her on me. I did not want her and I do not want her. She's worthless -"
"She is a person." Chel stated flatly.
