Lexx didn’t wait too long and soon, he was reaching out across the relay to see if Chel was open to his relay. They had not spoken today, mostly because they didn’t want to risk any distractions while they were being processed. Lexx was surprised to find that Chel’s relay was active and she was accessing it, but she was not in her thoughts. Instead, he was directed along a path of darkness to another set of thoughts.
It confused him. This relay was close. It was not from any of his friends or Chel. This relay was someone else. The darkness gave way to dim light that suddenly exploded in a rush of color with a physical presence of wind. In most relays Lexx had been in or hosted himself, the air was still. Here, it was moving. Here, it was clearly alive and he could really feel it on his skin and face. His feet landed on ground that was spongy and he could feel the grass through his shoes. The ground was slanted the colors were rich and vibrant.
Everything felt alive. The slight breeze stirred the mass of plant life at his feet and trees in the distance. Lexx looked on in awe down a steep slope, his eyes travelling what felt like a natural distance to mountains. This isn’t right. There were clouds drifting around the perfectly rendered mountains, moving in the opposite direction up high as the air he could feel around him. Who else is here? Lexx’s eyes traveled up into a sky, as blue as it would have been in reality and alive with movement. There were birds flying in the sky and natural sounds coming from the grass and trees. Who did this?! This isn’t right! Lexx stared in awe at what he was seeing. This wasn’t possible. Was it?

Ok, decided I better switch to a simpler coloring style, made simpler by Manga Studio EX 5. It works so much better than Photoshop! Also... reminding myself I need to stop over complicating things when my computer situation is making it difficult to get all the work done when it should be, since it's leaving NO time for books. :/ I do have a plan to do the AD kickstarter in January, to print the first volume in color, with the text.
I love those mountains.
