Zaile's brow furrowed uncontrollably, to the point of causing a slight headache. He was frustrated, angry and depressed. Over and over, he repeated, 'I hate him. I hate him.' And he worked everything up in Lexx's direction. Everything was to be blamed on Lexx, his personal scapegoat,… for the sole reason that Lexx was available. 'It's just not fair. There is nothing special about him. Why did they choose to keep him and get rid of me?'
His eyes stung. Doubts had begun to rise. He had to talk them back down. 'They chose Lexx over me. They chose to keep him over me. They chose to keep him over our sisters.' Zaile turned a corner. Cinka had been talking the entire way, but he had not heard a single word.
It had bothered him every since he was a small child and realized that he wasn't a littan like his parents. Who were his real parents? Where were they? Why wasn't he with them? Why was he abandoned? It didn't matter that he lived a life that few Rishan enjoyed. What mattered was that he should have been with his parents and instead, he wasn't good enough and had been given to the Littans.
Zaile had never asked his adoptive parents about the details of his adoption. He loved his littan parents. He had also not told them anything about his quest for his youngest sister. It was because of Lexx that he had found her in the first place. Zaile had access to his family records and knew his given family name. It wasn't a common name.
That was how he met Riley. He had run into him while trying to access information about Lexx. They had a mutual interest in the Rishan, although to Zaile, Riley was just an easily manipulated kid. Life was still a game to Riley. He was smart, but he was still young, a year older than Lexx.
Zaile had tried to buy Lexx's contract,… but the ADC wouldn't sell. It was too late. He was already the most promising of that year's master players. It was because of Lexx that he couldn't buy their youngest sister. Zaile knew exactly where she was, but,… the ADC wouldn't sell her contract either.
She was only nine years old. They had her in storage. She wasn't frozen or even suspended, just,… stored in a deep sleep. Because they had Lexx, she had been put away to be used at a later date. Zaile wanted her. Kane was lost. Zaile didn't want anything to do with her. Lexx was an adult and as far as he was concerned, useless. But their sister was a blank slate.
"Cinka. I will go on alone to my chambers." The Sairah's incessant talking in the background of Zaile's thoughts had become annoying. "I will call you when I want you."

‘sisters’, actually. Apparently, Zaile, Lexx, Kane and another one are all siblings of the same parents. I had that impression when Lexx went about the ‘rare green eyes he had seen somewhere before.’ Without much of a doubt, that would have been one of his parents.
Also, regarding the the authority complex…the grass is always greener, huh? Those who watch the game would love to be in it, those who are inside, would do anything to get out…

With the authority complex and the “why didn’t they keep me” thing, he’s not talking about the ADC, he’s referring to their parents and why they chose to raise Lexx but (presumably) put the other three up for adoption.

Wait…so…if their unnamed sister is 9 right now, and Lexx is 18 (or 22 by our years), then wouldn’t that mean that Lexx had to have been at least 8 or 9 when she was born? Wouldn’t he remember something like that? (Unless th ADC harvested her eggs to fertilize themselves? Except that while she was still alive, they didn’t realize how unique Lexx and his family line were, so that’d be unlikely? Unless she was a designated breeder?) And by the time Lexx was 8-9, their father’d been long dead, so their sister’d have to have a different father, then? (Unless their mother’s saved and later used some of his sperm for some reason? Which also seems unlikely…) …So the youngest sister’d have to be their half sister, then? I think? (I don’t know, my brain’s starting to hurt xD )
