It worked.  Andrea retreated to her bedroom, her face flushed a dark red.  "… I'll be in my room." Chel thought about giving her a hard time for keeping a diary at her age,… but decided against it… since she essentially had a diary sitting on her shoulder.  "Thanks, Kip." "What does fine mean in that context?"  Kip inquired. "I'll tell you later, OK?"  Chel grinned, watching as her plane suddenly went down in flames.  Oh well, she had another life.

  1. There’s nothing wrong with keeping a diary. During trying times, when you have nobody around to share your troubles and sorrows with, it can be a real sanity saver. And let’s face it, Chel IS in a situation, where her very sanity is getting challenged.

  2. Andrea, Andrea… learn to use encryption, silly! I mean, sure, Kip *might* be able to break some things (I don’t know how much processing power he can bring to bear for brute force attacks, and it’s possible galactic society knows a couple math tricks we don’t that would expose a vulnerability in our encryption algorithms) but it’d be a lot harder for him to justify, at least 😛

    1. Seriously, what teen girl is going to write her diary in code?
