“Should I be concerned?” Vic scowled, eyeing his wife.
“How often do I get to examine aliens?” Mel leaned toward her husband and spoke with a cheerful tone.
“You examined Lexx.” Vic pointed out, shifting away from her.
“Lexx is basically human,” stated Mel. She gave her husband an innocent smile, her large blue eyes taking on a pleading look that Vic agree with her and drop it.
“Basically,” moaned Vic, sliding his hand over his face. “You would be fine with him as a son-in-law if it came down to it, for science.”
Mel didn’t hesitate, keeping her smile. “If that’s what Chel wants.” Vic sighed, running a hand over the back of his neck.

I almost fell out of my chair laughing!!! The father is well aware of the ‘complication’ of having Lexx for a sun-in-law. While the mother is just to ‘enthralled’ of the ‘SCIENCE’ that she can get into!!
Now just imagine what may happen once Chel and Lexx become aware of that side of the family matters.
Me? I can not wait to see what a family holiday get-together will look like!!!
