Walking through the unfinished tunnels, Kade had a lot to think about. While his son and the others were out partying, he dealt with a problem none of them saw coming. His ship picked up human movement coming to the island. They would be there soon and he alone was preparing for evacuation.
Everyone can vanish in moments, but if a battle is in progress, it will strand them. Kade went over his plans to make sure people got out before the humans arrived. If anyone interferes, I’m not sure what will happen.
He sighed, seeing light at the end of the tunnel and music echoing off the walls. The partying was ridiculous, but it kept people distracted. Kade paused in the opening, watching the people dancing and socializing. People could die.
