Whatever Tairin did appeared to steady her legs as the energy flowed over her arms and vanished beneath her skin. She stood facing him, shouting words he could not here. Nothing reached Lexx’s ears, a buzzing sensation prickling up the back of his neck. His chest seized, and his vision blurred.

Tairin’s words and manner brought back flashes of his battle with Riane, and her image appeared before him, lightning streaking through the sky.
No choice.

Sorry. It was supposed to go up on Wednesday, but I got distracted!
Stuff’s really busy here, and I’m mostly over my issues. Still moving slowly, but mostly over it. Have a lingering bit of pain in my abdomen, but it’s healing. Just not very fast. And since I don’t bring it up often, I do have a Patreon with a bit more information on it!
Inflation and rising prices everywhere are not doing good things to my finances or lowering my stress. Unfortunately, it’s not helping others either and I’m grateful for the support!
