Alien Dice Day 29 01 03

Box after Box was opened. Piles of extravagant clothing and other gifts were pushed around, but rapidly taking up more room than the boxes had. Chel was beginning to get frustrated. “Maybe it is.” She rolled her eyes as she pulled an ornamentally armored bodice out of a box with red fringing. There was more red material in the box with shining silver accents showing through. Chel sighed, looking around the room and piles of clothing, then she reached for another large box. This one looked promising. Text was updated from here! I fixed the aforementioned inability to post. :D I can now see people's comments and reply to them FAST!! HURRAY!! It's convenient!! Now to do next week's text! - Tiff My own site isn't allowing me to post. :D I'm sitting here giggling at the comments, because it's all random. The sense here is: What do they expect me to be doing that I would NEED ARMOR?? (Ornamental armor at that.)

    Stupid tablet closed the keyboard and decided I hit the post button.
    What I was trying to say was…
    They’re aliens dear it’s not like they keep up with Terran suburban fashions and even if they did it’s not like they could just pop into Sears.

    I’m pretty sure that’s Thor’s tunic in her hands right there… and is that Loki’s robe thing just behind her? it’s his colors at least.

    Wouldn’t whoever bought those clothes include something like a Lexx marketed item or something?

    At this point maybe she should just go raid his closet. Might be more comfortable and functional, not to mention supportive for Lexx emotionally.

      A lot of backless pieces (for his wings) that might make her dad bug eyed though. 😉

      A lot of the robes covered the back but slits were there to allow the wings to go in and out(back down a level, when his wings were smaller). If I remember correctly he bought them on that space station trip with Chel. Those would be far more functional and nice to wear. Not entirely backless

        Yup, that’s all true. A lot of them have flaps of cloth so he doesn’t have to stick his wings into holes and are held down by a belt or some alien adhesive in the back. 😀

      Lexx is a lot taller than Chel, she’d have a puddle of extra fabric around her feet.

    It’s not like he is ever going to wear that again. Stealing boyfriend’s clothing is a time honored Terran tradition. My wife married me for my sweaters, or so she claims.

      *grump* Husband only wears tshirts and they swallow me. He’s a foot taller than me.

        Same thing with my wife. Except that she burrows into the sweatshirts and just hides in the couch. Either way, it might also make her father uncomfortable if she walks out in Lexx’s clothes. Anything too otherworldly might be interpreted as her being less ‘human’. Only after I made the post above did I think about that more fully. Wearing of the boyfriends clothes symbolizes a closeness that also might cause more trouble than wearing something with cleavage showing or other.

          At this time, I don’t think Chel would do that simply because she would see it intruding on Lexx’s privacy and she knows how sensitive he is about it, however, I think Lexx would absolutely love it if she did.

    I am not surprised everyone probably just sent her expensive dresses instead of everyday clothes because they were not thinking about her preferred style when they gave her a gift. The old what does my gift say about me thing.

      They’re like: That poor girl. She dresses so plainly. She needs to ENJOY a fancy, expensive dress/outfit/I want to see her in my fashions.

    LOL I was imagining her discussing her safety with her parents, and coming out with “Maybe I should wear the armoured bodice. It’s one of the gifts.” I don’t know if that sounds like her, but I thought it funny enough to tell. 😀
