  1. Kade… Earth needs to know they aren’t alone, but you think it’s best if Chell and Lexx are apart…

Even though they love each other…

The Earthling that essentially was the impetus for Lexx becoming the man he is…

The Rishan who would do ANYTHING for her…

And you want to keep them apart.

*puts hands together, takes a sharp breath* Listen. This is not going to go the way you think it is. If you truly want Lexx off-planet to avoid mixing Rishan blood (which is basically HUMAN blood) with Earthling blood (more human blood!) for whatever reason then you’re doing it wrong. He is obsessed with Chell. He would do anything for her provided HE thought of it and HE thought it was best for her safety and happiness. He has spent his whole life as a slave and literally fighting tooth and nail for freedom. He has been opposed for decades and taught that was the life allotted him.

Then he meets her. A woman who defies him. Defies the Dice League. Endangeres herself to help him. But most importantly… respects him and his Dice. She owns up to her mistakes. She has NOTHING to gain from helping him except getting her cat back- which very quickly becomes a nonissue.

If you’re worried about her safety… you’re a day late and a dollar short. She’s been in more and worse danger in the few days she’s known Lexx than in her whole life. But she’s also grown tremendously. She’s become stronger, and hopefully a little wiser.

But so has Lexx. He was understandably selfish and cruel at first, but still selfish and cruel. He was abusive to the Dice, taking his frustrations out on them and shoving everyone away so they would leave him alone. Now yes he has had a woman desperately trying to “win” him but she treated it like a game…. and Chell? She treated this like the adventure it is. She stuck it out through thick and thin, defying everyone who told her “no.” Lexx learned the power of saying no… and the power of saying yes. Because of her he learned there are things worth fighting for beyond yourself.

The Architects, the Greys, the Builders, whatever you want to call them, they actively interfered in Lexx’s life giving him access to things he shouldn’t have. He is probably the most dangerous player taking part in this game and is central to destabilizing and bringing down this corrupt game and you actually WANT to piss him off by trying to keep him from the woman he loves?

Sure. Go ahead. See what he does to you.

    1. Love this so much. 😀

  2. It’s hard to reconcile the length of Lexx and Chel’s relationship. It’s been years for us- nearly two decades. But for them? As this page’s URL states, it’s been 29 days. That’s a tremendous amount of life-changing events to go through in less than a month. It’s hard to really say that these two- and, frankly, especially Lexx- even know their own selves, little less each other. So I don’t know that I can whole-heartedly insist that Chel should follow Lexx into the stars no matter what the costs. That said? I REALLY don’t agree with Vic and Kade’s assertion that Chel needs to stay on Earth for her own good. I think she’s proven time and time again that she’s an excellent ambassador for her backwater planet and that she can roll with the punches as well as anyone. I would like to see her take on some kind of position as a genuine, sanctioned ambassador to the stars, where she can be independant and still court Lexx on their own time, without the pressure of Imminent Death looming over him.

    1. Considering how much I detest ‘insta relationships’, I will give away this much: While parents may think Chel would immaturely choose to run with Lexx, that’s just because in Vic’s case, she’s never been that type of person, but he can see just how much Lexx loves her and knows that he might have abilities to ‘persuade’ that really get on his nerves, because he isn’t certain if Chel is making her own decisions or not. On the other hand, despite their plotting, Vic has taken a step back to defer to whatever Kade is planning. He’s already decided to let what is going to happen, happen, because he knows he has no control over what’s going on and is only an observer, ready to pick up the pieces his imagination is coming up with. Kade’s just an arrogant father with lots of money, strings to pull, and good intentions.

  3. Aliens. Just like us except for better clothes! … When can I move to space?
