"Try one!"  Fly held out a crumb to Drift, but the smaller dice's attention was on something else in the dark.  "They're really good, Drift!  Sweet, better than the treats we get from Lexx!" Drift wasn't paying attention to Fly.  His large crimson eyes had picked up movement in the dark kitchen and the gleam of cat's eyes.  He froze, unsure of what he was seeing.  There was a gentle breeze coming from a vent just above them that was putting them upwind from whatever was in the dark.  Drift lifted a paw, waving in the dark, not wanting to make any noise. "What?"  Fly squinted hard at Drift, the fur along his neck ruffling.  "There's nobody here but us and the silly humans don't see that well in the dark!" Slowly, Stealth rose up on her haunches, tails twitching in the air behind her.  She lifted her left paw up, intending to smack the plate out from under Fly and send him flying.  The large cat's green eyes fixated on the squirrel.  She really wanted him to notice her so she could see the look on his face.
