"This is so embarrassing," Lexx watched the door, waiting for Chel. He had plenty of time to think, as he had all morning. Right now, he was marveling about the pain in his back which was immobilizing him with so little physical damage. He wasn't bleeding. Nothing was broken, yet it hurt so much to move.
Then he heard Chel returning. "I'm kind of surprised that you got sunburned. I thought that people with dark skin didn't get sunburned,…" She walked quickly into the living area, "I guess I was wrong. Why aren't your nanites fixing it, Lexx?"
"I don't know." Lexx replied.
"This will make you feel better. It always works for me!" Chel attempted to sound upbeat while unscrewing the cap off a bottle of aloe, "I hope I have enough."
