Meanwhile, Chel was clinging to the head of the creature that had grabbed her. They were circling lower than the cliff she had previously been standing on with Lexx. Chel had ventured a glance down and seen an open clearing with a huge lake and river feeding into it.
Judging by the fact that the creature had his tongue underneath of Chel's legs, protecting her from sitting on his teeth, she figured it wasn't going to eat her, but why had it picked her up?
"What are you going to do with me?! Take me down!" Chel exclaimed.
"Ah 'ave you," The head holding Chel spoke, careful not to close his mouth too much.
"Do not fear," The second head nudged Chel's back. It spoke gently, "We have been told to drop you into the lake if our master commands it. He doesn't wish to harm you. We're just here for Lexx."
"That's some comfort!" squeaked Chel, "Couldn't you just put me down gently- on the ground?!"
