“I promise you, Chel, when this battle is over, it will be over for good.” Lexx spoke gently and clearly, looking directly at Chel, but not touching her. He wanted to, but held himself back. “Now, please go with Riley.”
“No.” Chel snapped stubbornly.
“I don’t want you here.” Why wouldn’t she just do what he wanted?
