Chel stared as Lexx stood up and flicked his wings several times, almost as though they were moving on their own whim.  Riley grabbed Chel by the shoulder and hugged both she and Stealth tightly.  “Chel, Lexx will win!  One’s down and he’s rolling!!”  Riley’s words were optimistic, but his expression was anything but. “Not so bad.”  Lexx took a moment to let his change complete while the beast in front of him squealed and rocked in a panic to right itself.  Lexx’s leather wings strengthened and segmented quickly and feathers erupted with the sharp sensation of thousands of pinpricks running up Lexx’s shoulder blades and where his wings had been.  Wing leather was reabsorbed and immediately transformed into further length and then the sudden surge of energy Lexx had felt began to ebb as quickly as it had begun.

    I like the Feathered Wing look and am curious if it adds anything besides a visual appeal. The downside is Tiff has to work that feather pattern into his form now…unless they can be retracted now ^_^.

    Every time I look at this panel I always think “He has David Bowie hair!”. It’s not a bad thing. It’s just a coincidence that his hair poofs like King Jareth’s from Labrynth.

    I like the new form too.

    Now power up to Super Rishan!!! lol 😉 Awesome page! I’m so glad you’re back to updating. ^_^ The feathered wings look awesome! I think I remember a drawing that had Lexx with wings, but I didn’t believe you’d really give him angel wings.
    But seriously after looking at his hair all I could think of was Dragon Ball Z and Super Saiyan! XD
    Can’t wait till the next page! 😀

    Doesn’t have to be a super saiyan to have hair like that.

    If you are going stylistically with one of the X-men, I would have thought trading the wings for a prehensile tail and giving him teleport ability might have been the logical choice. (Although I think Marvel has a cadre of lawyers on the lookout for such things).

    I don’t dislike the feathered wings… but I grew up watching Gargoyles, so the bat/gargoyle wings will always have a special place in my heart 😉
