Day 24 Part 3

Then, the dice did exactly as Lexx wanted, only not in a way that benefitted his escape.  The creature’s neck arced and the head went down, close to it’s chest so that the heavily clawed forelegs could reach Lexx’s body.  Claws raked over his legs, ripping through his pants and drawing blood.  The second set of caws slashed down immediately following the first and those did the damage that Lexx feared most, ripping into deep muscle on his left leg. Lexx managed to squirm just out of reach of the right set of foreclaws.  The tip of one of them only caught the back of his head.  Lexx got one hand underneath him and pushed back up into the creature’s mouth for a better hold.  Finally he got a good hold of its upper jaw and pushed with all his strength. The dice made a gurgling screeching noise and swung its head up, tossing Lexx off balance again, just enough for one of the scissor sharp side pincers to slide over the thin strip of shoulder armor and catch Lexx’s shoulder.  He was wedged just right for the pincer to cut deep.  Blood sprayed from the new shoulder wound and Lexx’s left arm lost its hold completely, which was the only thing that kept him from losing it entirely. Lexx’s vision suddenly went black and his head swam as he was flung into the air.  He was free of the creature, but he had already acknowledged a simple fact. He wasn’t getting up this time.

  1. Uh oh, I think the Bad Code is going to take over here.

Trasik may not be surviving this one.

  2. Possibly. He’s not getting up, but he’s not unconscious. And he is fighting two dice, so there’s a possibility that he’ll level again if he takes one out completely.

Then again, there are other strategies when you’re down and can’t move much.

  3. The good guys do not always win.

  4. Darn pessimist. Seriously, Lexx? You can get up. Wienie.

  5. Fortunately, I can think of at least four ways for Lexx to get out of this. 😀

Well, it would be five. But I don’t think “Bite Trasik’s kneecaps off” is a viable option. 😉

  6. Technically until Chel is off the property she is still kidnapped, Technically being kidnapped Chel would be justified in using any means necessary to escape.
What I am technically saying is that if Chel looses it and kills Traski, (I would also smile) Chel would technically be justified. Then the dice would be dice without a trainer, or wild dice, and then they could interfere.
Of if they want to get all legal the police could be called and Traski could be dragged off to jail… but I want Traski to end with a bullet in her head… Or a dozen.

    1. Apparently killing Trasik hasn’t even crossed Chel’s mind. Chel seems like she won’t. She should, but she won’t. Plus she’s technically Lexx’s ‘native guide’ so any act of violence from her might be interpreted as an indirect attack from Lexx. I still don’t quite understand how Trasik kidnapping Chel turned out fine in the rules. . .

  7. 0.o I do not get the last panel. Is the beetle thing throwing him up to catch him in its mouth in one last whole-swallowing chomp?

    1. That’s answered in the text below the comic. Lexx managed to injure the beastie after if ripped up his leg and shoulder, so it’s tossing him away in pain.

  8. I don’t want it to eeeeeeend!!!!
