“No, I’m not.” Chel pulled away for a moment and rubbed away the tears. “But Lexx, he’s-they’re stabilizing him and won’t let me see him.” She sniffed and looked up at her father for comfort.
“That is probably best right now.” Vic nodded slowly, keeping one hand on his daughter’s shoulder as he looked over her for any sign of physical injury. There were small droplets of blood and smears over her dress and in her hair, but nothing that looked like an actual wound.
“I know, but it hurts.” Chel sniffed.
“Where?” Vic began to look Chel over a second time.
“Not in a medical way, Dad.” Chel sighed.

Daddy I just killed a psycopathic bitch woman who enslaves children and forces them to fight for her, and and and…. And despite the fact that Lexx is a bipolar emo idiot who wont let anyone get close to him for fear of getting hurt, I’ve come to the conclusion that he’s definitely MY biplar emo idiot, and I want to see him @.@!!!!!!

Now now, I wouldn’t call Lexx a bipolar emo idiot. He’s been, quite frankly, physically and psychologically tortured to turn him into a gladiator for the entertainment of the masses. So he’s actually pretty heavily mentally scarred. And the kids that Trasik took show some of the same issues.
On top of that, this sort of reaction is played out time and again in hospitals when a family is waiting for Doctors to finish treating a family member.

Chel is really logical and reasonable, and every time she comes to think she might really care for Lexx, she lets what a ‘normal’, ‘healthy’ relationship ought to be get in the way and it makes her distance herself again. Don’t forget that Lexx vented at her just before the battle! In order for this relationship to stop going in circles and to finally resolve itself, Chel has to come to the conclusion that she is willing to love him without requiring that he be mentally stable.
Hence: Coming to the conclusion that while he is a bipolar, emo idiot, he nevertheless is /hers/ 😉

Awwww, poor Chel! I just want to give her a big hug!! and has anyone else noticed the blood on her father’s hands since last comic? Is that Lexx’s blood that got in her hair when he got hurt or something else?

Couldnt she watch the alien dice channel to see him — assuming she can find someone willing to bring it up? Like maybe her data pad?

If this sort of thing were to happen on earth there would be hundreds of reporters demanding to get a pic or her point of view on the story.
