“Keith, I don’t want to explain right now and I do not want Dad to know.” Chel turned away from him and folded her arms, hoping he would get the point to not pursue this conversation.
“Is it bad?” Keith asked seriously, all manner of scenarios involving alien technologies and how they might apply to communication.
“Only when you’re enjoying dinner or doing something fun and someone wants to talk.” Zaile offered up, unaware that his statement just answered all of Keith’s questions.

Keith sounds more “oh sounds cool” interested than freaked out.
If I’m not mistaken, there is a sense of physical sensation, given the number of times Lexx and Riley have wrestled with it (or the repeated *glomp* tackles of Lexx by Riley, lol)

More like a short range TV telephone in my opinion. Remember it should not be able to contact people across the planet. Though I do not remember if we were told the normal working range.

I just realized after reading this comic panel for the fourth time or so that Zaille just mentioned doing something fun. So he’s not a total stick in the mud, he has fun too? YAY!

Well… Considering the fact that he’s paying Cinka to hang around, I would expect that he’s having some fun. I wouldn’t refer to it as a relationship or anything even approaching that, but he obviously enjoys it. (I guess prostitution isn’t as big of a deal in galactic society.)
