“If I have one, I’ll be a lot less likely to tell anyone.” Keith danced around the room and ended up behind Chel, whispering into her ear conspiratorially.
“You don’t need one. And I know you won’t tell anyway.” Chel responded in a huff.
“But I want one.” Keith bounced back to Zaile. “Zaile?”
“They are relatively inexpensive and I can easily arrange for you to get one.” Zaile shrugged.
“It’s so good of you to choose now to be generous, Zaile.” Chel sighed and face palmed at Zaile’s statement.

Oddly enough, I’m thinking of Zaile as the Tall Man from Phantasm.
All these talk about relays and getting one in this kids head. It just reminds me of the main component of those flying balls are. Doesn’t help that Zaile is probably the tallest person in the room right now.
Hmmmmmm…who is the tallest person of the A.D. cast?

Damian. He’s a foot taller than Lexx or Zaile, who are near the same heights, who are SUPPOSED to only be half a head taller than Vic and Keith and a whole head taller than Chel – but I made horrible, horrible mistakes!!!!! 🙁 🙁

HOLY GUACAMOLE! I just finished reading the entire story… and All I can say is that it is amazing! I have really enjoyed the story, and now look eagerly for the next ones!

Somehow I get the feeling that Zaile will get sneaky and order the special ‘alien mind control’ version of the relay for Keith. Cut to next week:
Chel: “Keith, go get me a soda.”
