Chapter 26 Part 3
14 hours later. 10 hours to Earth.
Time was passed with a somewhat mundane tour of Damian’s ship. Zaile played the part of host and pretended to enjoy the entire ordeal. Lexx did volunteer any conversation unless he was spoken to, but Chel often caught his gaze and a slight smile in her direction. Her father attempted to have casual conversation with Lexx and Zaile, but neither of them were willing to offer more than what was asked of them.
Today wasn’t so bad. Chel considered with a yawn as they were nearing the end of a look at a large gathering area. Zaile was busily describing grand parties, concerts, and plays that could be held there. I think Lexx is loosening up around dad.
Vic asked Lexx a question about how often he had attended the parties that Zaile was describing. Lexx grumbled something about not enjoying parties, but he did it looking at Vic instead of away from him. He seems different. Lexx’s expression went blank as though he was seriously considering his answer and if it had been the right answer. But very much the same.

Only three updates this week and I have a convention this weekend!! Which means I better work hard to.. oh wait.. I just uploaded five comics. :D There shouldn't be a problem in getting 3 updates next week as well.
And since we are running Kim to Awanas tonight and leaving in half an hour, don't have a lot of time to finish the text. :(

Hmmm … Yep it’s stealth. I swear if shes not in his head shes on his heels. You know thats actually starting to describe Chel as well lol.

I don’t think Lexx has ever had much in the way of positive male role models in his life. Riley’s dad is probably the closest, and I think contact with him hasn’t been very constant.
This may be one of the few times in his life he’s been around an adult male who shows approval/disapproval at his actions and presents a good example. And it’s almost certainly the only time he’s had much contact with an adult human male.
