Day 26 Part 3 Pg 10

“This. Is. So. Awesome.”  Keith began walking down the paved walk, admiring his handiwork.  As he walked, his coat drifted behind him in a cinematic style. Zaile lingered slowly behind him, taking in the view around him.  “I’m jealous.”  He suddenly stated, more to himself than Keith.  It was a strong admission.  This silly human had an ability that Zaile didn’t even know was amazing until he had seen it.  Zaile had to jog to catch up to Keith.  He was walking toward an open area of his initial building where he could see even more of the city and nature of this new world. “I’ve been imagining my perfect cities for years!”  Keith waved his hands gleefully in the air as he walked.  “Just in case we ever perfected ‘inception’ or ‘matrix’ style technology!” Zaile had no idea what he was talking about, but made a mental note to find out. ------------------------------------------------- Yay, text is current! - Tiff

  1. Yes, that is impressive. And, thinking about it, it would certainly knock the old pickup line, “wanna come back to my pad and see my etchings” into a cocked hat. I wonder if that woman who was caring for the animals has a link installed… >:=)>

  2. Reminds me of the Crown of Stars books. One of the main character has a visualisation trick she does for information. She calls it a “City of Memory”. Doors, windows, buildings, décor… She visualises it all, each one associated with specific information. A building might house all knowledge in a certain field, with each room relating to particular things within that field.

    1. It’s know as the method of loci.

  3. These last pages made me realize, if relay tech ever became a reality on this planet, I probably shouldn’t be allowed to have one. I have waaaaay too overactive an imagination for it. XD

    1. Reason #2 or 3 why Keith shouldn’t have a relay. Definitely reason #9. Also reason #15.

Yes. You read that correctly. At least 15 reasons why Keith shouldn’t have a relay. And 3, possibly 4 of them say something to the effect that he has too vivid an imagination.

      1. I am now curious as to what the rest of that list is. In part because I’m wondering how many of those other reasons I may also be guilty of. Hahaha

        1. He he he.
I’ve got my handbook here someplace. Let me see if I can dig it out…

  4. These last pages made me realize, if relay tech ever became a reality on this planet, I probably shouldn’t be allowed to have one. I have waaaaay too overactive an imagination for it. XD

  5. Gotta say, Zaile’s expression there is absolutely adorable!

  6. Heh, looks like I have more in common with Keith than I thought. Of course, my fantasies involve fewer buildings and more untamed wilderness.

  7. Yep. Geek. I can’t blame him, though. I’d probably have the world’s biggest library in mine. No cost required, just read it once and store it forever.

    1. I am the same way, my fav disney scene is the library in beauty and the beast.

  8. “Zaile had no idea what he was talking about, but made a mental note to find out.” Yeah, that human transcendtialism is going to be really interesting to investigate.
