“Dangers?” He stopped and looked back at Zaile curiously, failing to notice that Zaile’s face had suddenly paled as the color was draining out of it. He had caught sight of the massive dragon dropping almost silently out of the air on wings that looked like they were made up of leathery feathers.
Zaile had seen a lot of dangerous looking dice in his time, but this creature was massive and appeared agile for its size. He could even make out the impressive lines of muscle in the chest and forearms, moving beneath the skin like it was a real creature. Keith was really pushing things without realizing it.
“Like what?” Keith snapped Zaile out of his wonderment.
Zaile grabbed Keith by one shoulder and pushed him around to look at the incoming dragon as it landed next to the walkway. “There’s one right there!” Zaile could not hide his fear as he yelled. This really was not good. He had half a mind to step out of the relay and let it EAT Keith and maybe teach him a lesson.
“Relax!” Keith laughed without any concern. He grinned at Zaile and held up a hand toward the dragon. “It’s all in my imagination, right!” Keith added confidently. The dragon leaned forward, placing its forepaws on the walkway, crumpling the guardrail beneath its weight. It opened its mouth to show off a complete set of gleaming teeth of various sizes, each of them perfectly curved and serrated for cutting flesh.
“Stop!”

And now, for the big news. Alien Dice has a patron who is paying for time to be devoted only to Alien Dice. :D I will be putting up a patron page once the site upgrades are done, the ones I mentioned before. So far this week, I've spent an hour on AD, laying it out and writing text and a few other things, and will be spending a couple more to do scripting this evening.
I'm setting out 20 hours of dedicated time to AD for the time being to get important work done that has been waiting for time to be done in. This is what will be done, in order of doing it.
- First, the missing archive pages are all going to be made and uploaded.
- I will be creating a new layout and having someone else code it and put it together, because I don't want to mess with the amount of time I'll waste in trial and error when someone else can do it faster.
- All sites will be migrated to Comic Easel, as planned months ago. I'll also be paying someone to do this for the same reason as above.
- I will begin laying out the first full color graphic novel, which will be between 150 and 200 pages in length. It depends on how the pages fall. The first book will NOT be the same size as later books. It will be larger, due to original pages not being laid out right. I didn't know how they should be laid out at the time. I would redraw them, but I know there are a large number of people who would prefer that I NOT do that. :D
- I will be buying advertising for AD.
- I will begin uploading summary 'strips', starting from Day One to act as a quick refresher AND will also be put into the books from two on.
- I will resume updating Legacy. I just laid out 7 pages and one is inked and waiting. The first chapter was Lexx's father. The second chapter is Lessa's chapter. After that, it's both of them. I also have a Saign story that I've been sitting on that will go there and will take suggestions for other stories in the past that readers might want to read about. These are all stories in the past of Alien Dice and do NOT necessarily focus on Lexx.
Now, if anyone wants to make the counter catch up, please do. :D It will go to these two things: A new mattress. And of course, there's also the upcoming 'awesome dental' surgery I'm going to have done. :( :(

Dragon: (Stops in mid-air. Looks down. Looks back at its wings. Looks forward at K&Z. Lip trembles. Bursts into tears.)
Keith: (soothingly) There, there. Don’t take it personally, I just can’t let you eat me or my friends in my own dream. However, I’ll show you someone you can eat! (creates picture of Claudia) Now if you see her, you can crunch her up with alacrity! Yes, she’s yummy! So you keep an eye out for her, boy! Now, off you go!
(Panting enthusiastically, tongue lolling like a dog, the dragon gathers the air under its wings and pulls free, gaining height rapidly as it scans the terrain)
Keith: Look at him go! Hmmm… maybe I should tell all the dream-people here that if they see Claudia they should capture her and tie her to a stake on some open ground or something, like in the storybooks. Can I do that? Zaile?
Zaile: (curled up in foetal position) …mummy…

Truthfully, I found this comic a few weeks ago but I only just finished reading through it all and feel that now I -must- comment. I would have gotten done sooner, but with AD threatening to consume my attention and keep me from homework, studying, or on one pitiful occasion, keep me from even going to my AST 112 class, I had to force myself away from it every once in a while.
I absolutely love the interesting story and the amazing, compelling concept behind it all. I am eagerly awaiting whatever your clever little mind has in store for us next, and just wanted you to know that you’ve got an avid new reader, and a very happy one at that!

http://lmgtfy.com/ was always my personal favorite. Knowing how urls work and knowing most of my hex, it made it even better since I could just type out the complete url without even bothering to open the site itself.

Yeah, it sure looks like Kevin never heard of the wonderful ‘dream vacation world’, Altair 4. Has he even seen Jurassic Park? Does he dream in digital? Is it better than nothing? Did the virus spread on the relay and catch him sleeping? Hint: pulling up a Sir George would be VERY appropriate!
