Zaile and Keith ran down the upraised path. “Change its nature now!” Zaile shouted at Keith. He glanced back at the huge beast as it shifted its bulk and placed one large forearm firmly on the walkway, giving itself more leverage. The weight of the dragon shook the walkway, almost knocking the two runners off their feet.
“It’s a dragon!” Keith yelled back at Zaile.
“Make it a nice dragon!” Zaile gave Keith a hard push, urging him on as the dragon leaned toward them again.

Zaile: *phew* Good save, Keith. Interesting change of scene – and architecture. The prominent valentine motifs are nice, and I do like the treehouse library! Shall we say hello to the little purple dragon and the cute purple equine? Keith? …Keith?
Keith: Aaand.. I’m dead. I should have just let the dragon eat me.

I’ve already read the manual – it’s titled ‘Altair 4 – Forbidden Planet’. I’d have turned the dragon Chinese and made him the red fishing-dragon responsible for keeping up populations of fish in the sea, he’s big and friendly.

I’m pretty sure Smaug was male. Dragons come in different species. Wingless dragons are chinese/eastern, while European dragons have wings.

interestingly enough, Gryphons are actually supposed to be that way. Male Griffins in at least one Mythology actually have sets of spikes instead of wings, and short tusks in their mouths. believe it’s the original greek. but i’m not sure.
