“You can grow hair?” Chel could not believe her ears.
“They can,” nodded Maelinn.
“As long as it was before? Down to my hips?” Chel asked with growing excitement. Yes, all that hair weighed a lot, but she was used to it and it was never an annoyance. Plus, it had taken a long time to grow all that hair the first time. Getting it back was a dream come true and something she had never considered.
“Easy.” Maelinn nodded with a smile.

She cut it herself (with a broken mirror) as part of her improvised escape plan. I forget the details of the plan – which didn’t work out anyway.

She only cut the small pigtail the ADC had left her with, and it wasn’t part of an escape plan but a display of self-determination.

While I like the overall look of the new style of art, in this panel the faces look off. I think it is the jaw area, it just doesn’t look quite right, particularly on Chel.

YES! I’m so excited! Back to long hair Chel! *dances* And she had her hair forcefully cut for biting that guys hand when he kidnapped her. Yes they did leave this teeny tiny braid thing..and to make a stand and show them “You can’t control me” she broke a mirror and sawed the little tiny tail off her hair and made it even. Not as a style she wanted of course.. just to prove to them.. “Hey you may have cut my hair..but *I* choose not to keep the little detail you left on me. I make my own decisions.” Wasn’t necessarily to help her escape. Just a way to give them the finger.

Man… I wish I could get my hair to grow super fast… I hacked all the damage off this past December and now I am eagerly awaiting having my hair back, it’s grown to be about three inches all around but I miss being able to pull my hair up and out of my face… I’m glad Chel’s getting her hair back ^_^ I love long hair…

Ah well.. It was cool having a comic heroine have my hair for awhile, but we all missed the braid. 🙂
