Day 26 Part 4 Pg 8

“Is there anything you want?”  Mel offered seriously. Lexx looked at Mel sheepishly.  He had a few ideas, but they didn’t seem very appropriate, given the current company. “I don’t think I would ask him THAT question.”  Vic stated directly to Mel.  “Lexx is,… fond of Chel.” “Interesting.”  Mel gave Lexx a look that made him feel very uncomfortable.  It was the look of a scientist who had just stumbled onto something they wanted to study intently. “Not the exact word I would use.” Vic rolled his eyes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My laptop is being repaired and should be back after July 9th. :(  There were supposed to be five updates this week, but I'm stretching the two pages to cover the time I won't have my laptop. - Tiff

  1. Way to go Victor. Now everything is more awkward.

    1. You’re assuming that the awkwardness was accidental. I have never met a set of parents who didn’t enjoy embarrassing the hell out of their daughter’s boyfriend. I think it’s a test to see how dedicated he is. XD

    2. Melissa: Well, I’m interested.Hmmm… name a non-metallic element that can exhibit hexavalence.

      Lexx: Uh.. sulphur?

      Melissa: Good. Now, see if you can solve these equations…

      […]

      Lexx: …and this, I believe, is a melon spoon, and is worked into the flesh of the melon with an action like so.

      Melissa: Excellent. And your lab reports have just come back, giving you a clean bill for my daughter’s health. So, since you have been a perfect gentleman up to this point, circumstances notwithstanding, I don’t see the need for a chaperone. And if you did happen to be considering the possibility of marriage, you would naturally discuss that with the father-

      Vic: Now, I don’t think- *OW*

      Melissa: ..who will be certain to give you a fair hearing, right, dear? After all, we do want our daughter to be honourably engaged to a gentleman of drive and accomplishment, of which there are so few around these days…

      Vic: *sigh* Yes dear…

      >:=)>

      1. “While the melon spoon is most commonly used for gouging out eyes, turns out it can also be used for eating melons! … Um, what’s a melon?”

  2. “Fond” is a bit of an understatement . . .

  3. hey tiff, i know its irrelevant to the current comic page and all… but how did your daughters request for postcards go? i grabbed some but i haven’t mailed mine yet… even though her birthday is past i would like to still send them to her.
