Day 27 3 05

A startled cry came from Keith’s room, followed by the sound of something jumping around.  There was a rapid scratching sound across the floor, as though something was moving so fast, it was having a difficult time keeping its feet on the ground.  There was a sliding, flapping sound, a thud, and then intense scratching on the door. The door slid open after a minute and Swiftpaw bounded through it, half flying, half scampering as he made a beeline for the food cart.  Keith yawned behind him, running a hand through his sleep rumpled hair.  He was smiling, more amused than annoyed at the fox’s antics.

  3. Well everyone is waking up and Lexx is going to tell them about the Gauntlet today. Of course, Chel’s parents might beat him to the punch and ask where he went last night.

    Should be interesting with breakfast involved.

    Should be interesting with breakfast involved. Not that it isn’t already with all the other dice and Dash running out to get some.

    1. Seems like a bit of problems with the comment section. Well Tiff, if you want to trim it down, you can delete my comments up above and keep this one I’m responding to.

  7. You can hear swift thinking even without the need of a relay, “Eggs eggs eggs eggs!”

    I wonder how that first panel would look with some more onomatopoeia… e.g. “Yoip!” -> “skitter skitter” -> “THUD” -> “scritch scritch scritch”. As it stands, it leaves out pretty much all of the first paragraph’s actions.

    Might be a bit too busy… solution: more panels!
    – P1: “Yoip!” -> “skitter skitter”
    – P2: “rustle THUD”
    – P3: “skritch skritch skritch”
    – P4: open door panel
