Day 27 3 13

Chel and Lexx stared at Lexx, unsure how to take what he had just said. “I don’t want to die.”  Lexx reiterated.  “Why is veryone asking me to die for their cause?” “Lexx, I didn’t say that.”  Vic shook his head apologetically, searching his conversation for what he said that could have led Lexx to even thinking that. “Nobody here wants you to die.”  Chel tried to get in Lexx’s line of sight, but he was staring down at the floor and avoiding her gaze. “I’m sure he wouldn’t mind,”  Lexx grumbled, inclining his head in Vic’s direction.

  1. Well, as Stalin was claimed to have put it: “Death solves all problems — no man, no problem.”

Andisel: No spectacular death, no ratings!

  2. Well to be fair Lexx, thats how most fathers view their daughter’s boyfriend lol.

  3. The whole death bit is somewhat of a non-sequitir to them to be sure. Vic’s talking about taking responsibility for his dice, not trying to defend territory from attackers, after all.

But given the nature of the game, there is perhaps a link to be found. Or perhaps a part of it is Lexx being a bit dramatic.

  4. Just wanted to point out in the text you say: “__Lexx___ stared at Lexx” I think you meant to say “Chel and Vic stared at Lexx.”

Loving the comic btw! Been an avid fan for years! 😀 I’m both excited and terrified this story will be coming to an end sometime soon…. we’re getting to the Gauntlet… I can’t wait to see how this all plays out. 🙂

  5. That’s the nature of trauma treatment. Lex is probably thinking of that group that approached him at the party and of the soul echo, but isn’t aware that Chel’s dad isn’t asking anything as costly. Very important step that Lex is taking in talking about this, I hope the team is familiar enough with PTSD to recognize wha is happening.

  6. As much as Vic may not like Lexx, I highly doubt his annoyance rises to wishing ill of Lexx. Of course, that can be hard to tell when you’re the annoyance.

  7. Well said, Lexx. I’m sure Vic would rather just kill you and be done with it, but he can’t because that would hurt Chel. He can’t hurt his little girl.

He can force her to work for him, and hold her prisoner indefinitely without trial, though. That’s totally okay and not a dick move.

    1. But Rax! Big Brother has your best interests at heart! Not.
