“I have a few hours until it begins.” Lexx slid his arm around Chel’s shoulders. “I suspect everyone is already waiting for me at the house. Who knows how long they have known. Nobody tells me anything.”
“I don’t think they keep things from you to hurt you, Lexx.” Chel tried to be comforting.
“I’m not hurt. I’m annoyed.” Lexx clarified with an agitated sigh. “Why did we have to leave so fast?”
“The people my father mentioned, they’re humans kind of like you. They can do things that are impossible for average people.” Chel replied quickly.

But Lexx should already know all about this. He was a man, barely alive. Nanobots, we can rebuild him! We can make him stronger, faster, better than before! We just need to make the big decision.
Should he run on the fusion reactor, or Jenkins’ experimental cola engine?
