Claudia let Chel down gently and stepped away, looking considerably happier than she had when she arrived. Riley glanced at the two and decided it was better not to ask. He turned back to the glass and squinted at a disturbance in the distance.
Birds were flocking over one spot in the ocean that looked like a dark spot beneath the water. The water swelled over whatever it was and as it approached, more and more birds took to the air, filling it with a cacophony of annoying sound.
Everyone lined up on one side of the observation lift, facing the deeper water. They were silent as the wave grew even more.
Chel’s mouth dropped open in awe. Whatever that it, it was massive.
