Lexx stopped walking and stared thoughtfully at Chel.
Then he inclined his head away from her and spoke just loud enough for her to hear, “Maybe I do.” Lexx turned away without another word and walked. He kept his eyes forward, focusing on the task at hand. A list of what he needed to do was going through his head. Right now, he did not need any distractions. It was time to get his head in the game before the game took his head.
