Riley let the coat fall off his right arm, then twisted to let it drag over his left while moving toward the portal at the same time. The coat caught where the handcuff held it onto Riley's left wrist for a moment. Riley jerked the sleeve sharply, then the cloth ripped, leaving a nasty gash under the cuff. With a final shove at Victor to make sure Riley had enough time to get through the door without Victor following, he vanished… and Victor crashed to the pavement. He really had no intention of following Riley. He had what he wanted. Victor stared at the spot in the wall where Riley had vanished, scowling after him. He had probably held on longer than he should have out of some sense of wanting to make Riley pay for what he knew about his family. 'Can't say I didn't try.' Victor shrugged, 'At least I got a sample … but at what cost?' He glanced down at the coat which bore several stains of darker color on them. Alien blood. Victor slowly got to his feet, considering how harshly to chew out the overzealous shooter who was more concerned about Riley getting away than anything else,.. including accidentally shooting Victor. He considered himself fortunate that he hadn't been shot while tucking the coat under one arm. Unfortunately,… shooting Riley had never really been in the plan. He hoped it wouldn't have any disastrous results. Riley sighed in the safety of the transport room on Damian's ship. He leaned against one of the walls to gather his thoughts, unaware that he was smearing blood on it. 'Deuce,.. my favorite coat.' He thought to himself mournfully before remembering that he had been shot… and was in pain. Riley glanced down at his shirt, noting the growing spots of crimson on his shirt.

  1. Platform nine and three- quarters! 😀

    1. Yeah nine shots and 3/4 of a beer lol. Cause after seeing someone walk through a wall you would wonder how much you had.

      1. Remember who this is, its more like 9vodkas and and 3/4 of a beer.

  2. I must say… If an alien with most likely superior technology threatened me by telling me he knew where I and my children lived I would not shoot him and then grab his coat. Even if it didn’t seem like he wanted to hurt me it would not be a risk I would be willing to take… but that could just be me.

    1. Oh! Nevermind… I probably should read the whole page before I draw conclusions.

  3. Drunk not as I’m you am think I as!

  4. How harshly to chew him out? Vic’s man SHOT AN UNARMED MAN WHO WAS ONLY GOING TO BE DETAINED TEMPORARILY! IN THE BACK! Don’t chew him out! Throw that dumbass in jail!

Honestly, Vic. I know you’re trying, but you’re not very competent or professional. But, as I have theorized, their department just doesn’t have the resources to hire any competent agents.

  5. wood thing River’s not the vengeful type. (We hope.) If he were, just imagine “someone” opening a portal from, say, Jupiter’s atmosphere into, I dunno, the U.N.? Or even high orbit, and let everyone find out how much hard-vacuum really sucks (them into space).

  6. Darned autocorrect!
