Chel followed Lexx out into the backyard. She took a moment to turn on the back porch light. Chel was not worried about Lexx being spotted. There were privacy hedges up and down the alley and the fence was high enough to keep people from looking into the yard without a lot of effort.
"Chel, would you come with me?" Lexx asked abruptly.
"… where?" Chel turned to Lexx curiously.
"Away from here." Shrugged Lexx, glancing around the yard. The lights were making him slightly nervous There were several alley lights he didn't remember from last time along with neighboring house lights.
Chel stared at Lexx, wondering exactly what he meant. 'Is Lexx asking me what I think he's asking me? Is he going to run from the game? He wants me to go with him … but am I ready to leave everything and everyone behind?" She nibbled at her lower lip in thought. 'I - don't know, but I want to say yes -"
