Silence. "I guess I can't argue." Chel leaned over the ledge, lifting her eyes to the sky. She was feeling good that Lexx wasn't going to go, but didn't like the repeated clashes with reality. There was also the uncertainty of the future looming painfully in the horizon. "You can still come onto the Rift when you want, but I imagine that will get dull quickly - and crowded." Lexx offered politely. He wasn't sure what else to say. "Okay. It's probably for the best-" agreed Chel. She was feeling a little more down than she'd expected. It wasn't bad news. Why did she feel that way? Then, Lexx reached out to Chel, comfortingly touching her hand. The warmth of his skin tingled delightfully in the coolness of the night air. Chel smiled slightly, her hair being toyed with by a playful evening breeze. "I'm going to play harder to get this over with quicker." Lexx stated with growing determination. He could do it. It would take a lot of work, but he could do it. Everything would be better if he stopped wasting time and concentrated solely on the game.

  1. Well, things will be hard, that’s for sure…but let’s just wait for the next catastrophe to happen. Maybe Vic would’ve been better off letting his children know what he was actually doing…at least that way it won’t hit him like a hammer, when he comes home, and finds Chel standing in the way of the riflemen, defending her boyfriend 😀
