Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! My family and I had a great morning opening gifts with relatives and are now stuck in our apartment due to icky rain, then snow, then ice. :D Which might thaw tomorrow, but the bridges would be impassable. 34 degrees immediately following rain is never good :D I hope all of my readers had an enjoyable and safe holiday! I'll be doing a bit of work here and there as I have time, likely a LOT tomorrow. I will also be posting sporadic artwork done in my daily sketchbook. - Tiff PS - Took down the tally bar since the month is almost over as is the year. The year finishes at over $650 negative and I don't see that coming out of nowhere in a few days. It was depressing me. I'll just start new in January and hope it's not a repeat of this year.

  1. Clearly, they need proper winter weather gear. Or less snow. Or maybe they just need to roll a side or two. 😉

  2. I suddenly want to see all the dice having a winter party in the snow.

  3. I’ve been voting every day for you, it always turns from 123 to 124 – did they stop taking votes?

    1. It doesn’t always update properly with votes, and it also goes up and down during the day depending on who votes when.

    2. Oops! I thought you meant the Top Web Comics voting. I think the Small Business Big Wishes event did end a day or two ago.

  4. They must have forgot the one horse open sleigh that they’re supposed to ride on.

  5. My Dad lives in Lewisville so I have heard about all the crappy, un-Texas like weather. I am originally from El Paso, Tx and there a couple of inches of snow, shuts the whole town down for a day or two. Stay warm, stay safe and happy holidays.

  6. If it’s any consolation, we didn’t get ANY of the snow down here in San Marcos, Austin, etc. Instead, it was so warm, we considered taking the dog to the river (same temp year round)…And then that evening it dropped to so freaking cold with crazy wind. Best part is, our house has absolutely zero heat. Zero. Other than the small space heater we run in the bedroom when we’re awake. I love that space heater. I think I shall marry it.

    1. 🙂 Our heat works, but I don’t turn it on until morning for showers. 😉

      1. I ordered a larger heater before Christmas in preparation for Jan/Feb. We got really lucky last year that no pipes broke. Pretty good timing given the little heater we were using is trying to die apparently, leaving us with the one that only heats whatever is directly in front of it (better than nothing, but cannot be left unattended). So far, new heater is scary awesome in the closed off bedroom, but is currently being tested at heating an open area. Took our living room from 49 to 63 in 4 hours, which isn’t bad, and reviews said it barely dents electric bills.

  7. Where is your donation thermometer?

    1. It was depressing and with only a week to go, not going to see $600 pop up out of nowhere anyway. It’ll be back in Jan, fresh and rolled back to the usual $300.

  8. I bet Dash would be better at it.
