“If you’re ok with it,…” Chel moved to sit closer to Lexx while he turned his back to her, grateful that he didn’t have to face her. His face was burning. Chel sat there and stared at Lexx’s back, watching the solid muscle shift as he moved his wings forward and out of her way. The movement was stiff and clumsy. “I am.” Lexx muttered, waiting. Chel reached out tentatively with her left hand, fingertips barely brushing in the first movement, then she pressed both palms against his back, up high where the wings connected to his back. ‘Just a back rub,… it’s a legitimate request. He probably is sore.’ She held her hands there, hesitating in moving them and not really aware of the minutes that were passing. His skin was warm, perfectly normal and just like any other human’s skin. She could feel him breathing as well as a slight tremor. Chel swallowed, figuring he was just as nervous as she was, then shifted her hands up and down lightly. “Do I disturb you with my appearance?” Lexx smiled, tilting his head forward in triumph. He closed his eyes and let the words slip out, momentarily forgetting the game.
