“When we arrive, I will tell you where to drop Chel off.” Victor could not have said anything worse in Chel’s mind. “Dad.” She swung around to protest, but was immediately shot down with a look she knew all to well, but had not received in years. Now was not the time to argue. Her father was deadly serious and would not listen. “You didn’t want to be part of this, Chel.” Vic stated slowly, reminding Chel of what she had already said. “It’s time for you to go home.” Chel winced at being told what to do, her mind already searching for what she should say or do. She felt too old to have an outburst, too young to really have any backup to anything she might have to say at the moment. She had 36 hours. A lot could happen in 36 hours. First, she needed to see to Lexx. Victor had said she was going home then, not now. She knew her father well enough to know that he would not stand in her way, even though he had told her she was going home. Things could change. They could change drastically in a short time and even though the thought of being on a timeline hurt, she still had time. Victor turned away from her to face Riley, leaving Chel to follow with her thoughts running in a panicked pace. =============================== Only three days left in the month to reach the goal! ($119 to cap off the month and pay rent.) Updates should be back on track now that the computer has a nice install and next week's comics are being colored in the Adobe CS6 demo. :D It's so nice and shiny and so much faster than CS3!! I have it for 60 days, so making the most of it. - Tiff

  1. Is he forgetting that she’s an adult?

    1. I think Vic’s projecting some of his feelings onto Chel.

Although, I’ve got a feeling that a LOT can change in 36 hours. 😉

  2. Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap.

  3. …. A lot of people in this comic ignore chel. I would end of knocking someone unconscious. ;D

  4. Oh look. More of this. Can the story please move along a little faster? I’ve been reading for years and years and years. It would be nice to cut the emo drama and actually have some legitimate plot. It’s not just a game? Nope, it’s not a game at all. It’s an after-school special on teenagers.

    1. What an unkind thing to say. If you do not like it, then do not support her and don’t read it.
Or, in other words, “If you can’t can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.”

    2. I’ve been reading for years and years, too. I happen to enjoy the story which means accepting the author’s pacing and the availability of her time to write. If you can’t be polite please be quiet.

    3. I’m sorry, no. The people in this comic have real issues, and real adults don’t skip trying to sort that out for the sex, or whatever you’re reading this comic for. Please keep your juvenile opinion to yourself.

  5. I think he’s acting more in “official capacity,” and is using that as an excuse to protect his daughter. What she did not agree to was his plans for Lexx.
