The two swords met with a sound that Lexx didn’t expect, and a jolt of energy struck him, bouncing back to the blade of Riley’s sword and into his hands. It stung and caused him to flinch as though something was momentarily being drained from him. The modifier duration timers he kept visualized in his head fluctuated and changed.
“Nngh! What is that?!” Lexx jerked away from Riley, guarding himself with his sword.
Riley stood ready, swinging to one side. His eyes were fixated warily on Lexx and his expression was calm and concentrated. “Siphon,… saps your modifier energy and gives it to me!”
“,… I like.” Lexx relaxed. This was going to be over soon.
“It’s on one of the modifiers I’m going to give you.” Riley grinned, preparing for the next attack. “Now,… are you going to come and get me or are we just going to chat?”
