Chel stumbled, the hooked thorns on the vines catching at her skirt and scratching her legs. Her hand slid into a tangle of smaller vines, stopping her fall, but at the same time entangling her wrist in a tight prickly loop.
"Lexx, wait for me!" Chel yelled out, trying to regain her sense of balance and pull her wrist free. She couldn't see Lexx anywhere. He had vanished into the darkness of the forest.
Chel sniffed and looked around a moment. It was strangely dark and cold here. There was a mist in the air and the branches arcing above did not bear leaves. They were barren and the sky further above was an unnatural undulation of black and grey. It brought a chill to her body.
Fear slowly crept in, twisting hard, frozen fingers into her heart and mind. She began to panic.

Alien Dice is only update M-W-F this week and next week, depending on when I get a new scanner. Mine was broken in the move and I only have five strips I can upload due to inking an extra page that occurs after strip 5 and before the next 3 pages that I already have colored. Once I get my new scanner, at the latest, July 20th, strips will resume M-W-F for all of August. September will return to the regular M-F schedule. This should allow me plenty of time to adjust to the new baby.
