Chel ignored the question, still working on where she was. “Last thing I remember was going to sleep …” She muttured to herself sliding one leg out from under the blanket. She glanced down and noted that she had been dressed … again … without her permission. This time she was wearing some sort of blue and white dress with a belt cinched loosely around her waist. “Trasik doesn’t like her ‘guests’ conscious when they arrive.” Chel jumped as a much larger creature seemed to flow out from under the bed, almost right under her. It sat up in front of Chel and continued speaking in a very light, fast voice, “I am Caillem. These three belong to Trasik – Ivie, Jakom and Labac. I’m sorry to say, welcome to Litta, Chel.” Chel blinked and stared at the familiar form in front of her. She decided this creature was a she immediately. It had a very similar form to Sirius, pretty much identical in body and fur except this one was brown. She also had a pair of short curved ears and a set of long gleaming horns that appeared to have been polished repeatedly. Caillem had the same liquid eyes as Sirius, except they were golden brown and not blue. The familiar form put Chel at ease, along with how Caillem spoke. It was obvious she did not like Trasik.

  1. Paranoid and creepy. I did not like
trasik before, this did not help.
    And that dice looks familiar…

    1. Because it looks like a brown version of Sirius and it was under her bed 2 strips ago?

  2. Darn it Trasik, stop being creepy. We already have enough of that on the other other ship.

  3. “These three”? Is that implying that Caillem doesn’t? Hmm…I like that one already. S/he seems sensible enough. The little ones are just…too cute to be all good. XD

  4. Holy crapola Unexpected! But this still doesnt make sense…. I dont get why Traisk is playing nice we already know she is about as far from being a nice person as there is also where the heck did Traisk get a Relitive of Sirus from?! Something VERY VERY fishy is going on here…..

    1. Callem and Sirius probably share the same base form.

  5. Something here is so fishy I need tartar sauce.
Caillem looks nice, but the three little ones creep me out. Caillem’s comments only add to the crawly skin feeling about Trasik.

  6. Caillem: “…when they arrive” And I se clouths in the background to the right. I think they have landed at Trasiks home and these are part of the familys dices. That means her father will be there too! I Wonder what will happen when Chels father arrive…

  7. @ Ratatosk: I think you came a little late to the party. 😉 Dice is plural, die is singular. 🙂

Oh rats, I hoped his/her “fur” would have a cool shine to it when he/she got into the light. Ok, seriously what is Caillem’s gender?

  8. Those otter budgies are ridiculously cute.

I’m not sure if anyone else has posted anything about this (I haven’t been keeping up with all the comments.), but I’ve started wondering what and/or who Trasik is going to use as her Master Dice when Lexx challenges her?

I don’t think Trasik can use Chel, as Chel is a Native Guide and Trasik would likely get herself massively disqualified for using a Master Die on Chel. IE: Chel is bait.

But the only other possibilities I can think of are a new critter that we haven’t seen. Specifically, a critter chosen for it’s natural skill in battle. (Unlike the last one.)

Or Trasik will take a page from her brother’s book and use the Master Die on herself.

I can’t be sure which way Trasik will go. I’m honestly not sure if she’ll research and train up a new critter or if she’ll put aside her pride and take the fight into her own hands.

I look forward to finding out.

  9. Also, the quotation marks around “guests” make the implications about Trasik extremely creepy. Not that it wasn’t creepy already, this just highlights it again.

  10. go away for a few months and look what one misses.
I thought Sirius had actualy turned brown when I first retuned. (know better now but I was confused about it till I got caught up.)
anyone comment on how absolutly cute those rainbow dice are? (I said it three times in a way I’ve almost never heard my own voice. I don’t squeak! it isn’t natual.)

  11. I completely forgot the Native Guide thing! That might actually be Chel’s saving grace. There are probably rules about taking Native Guides away from their worlds, and since Trasik isn’t the one who Chel has the contract with, she probably violated a million rules when she pinched Chel!

  12. Mild continuity note: Wasn’t it mentioned quite a ways back that Trasic only had one dice that wasn’t in some way nasty?

  13. Trasik does own them! Beware!
