“Keep your head in the game, Lexx.”  Kade stepped up behind his son.  “You’ll have time for anything you want when the gauntlet is over.”

Lexx nodded and smiled encouragingly at Chel.  “This is my game.”  He pulled away, but held out his left hand, inviting Chel to go with him.  She hesitated for a moment, feeling light headed.  Lexx’s kiss had lingered on her lips and for the moment, she was having a difficult time pushing her emotions aside.  Chel followed and everyone fell into step behind them without a word.
