Day 24 Part 3

Lexx watched the glimmering orbs appear indifferently, trying to sort through his thoughts and not look in Chel’s direction. It dawned on Lexx too late that Trasik had thrown two dice.  Two.  Not one.  The first dice was a bright violet with turquoise markings, small by comparison to the second.  It was going to be fast and the larger brown one made up for its lumbering size with reach.  At least a dozen tentacles and two heads whipped around in excitement.  The smaller one tossed its head and pawed at the ground with two of its six legs, fixing Lexx with a glare from its four round eyes. The larger one arced one of its two heads toward Lexx, roaring a challenge.

  1. That… That cheating B****! That is two, no wait, THREE to one! Do little things like THE RULES mean NOTHING to this Wh***?

  2. No they don’t Starcat5 the only rule she cares about is the one that says Lexx belongs to her if she beats him in a battle.

but you are correct she is cheating big time.

  3. Why do I get the impression that the tentacle monster is the one about to get err yeah… 🙂

  4. They’re as ugly as her heart.

  5. It’s possible that this creature is a main creature and a symbiont or parasite that makes the host more dangerous.

And I’m willing to be that they were researched and chosen for their effectiveness in battle against smaller more maneuverable opponents.

  6. technically, it’s 8 vs. 1, if you go by ratio of eyes there.

  7. @Eileen:
    Don’t insult those animals.

Yes. I do believe that is referred to as ‘cheating’. Lexx is _still_ going to whoop her though.

  8. The purple one looks like one of the monster from Tremors 2.

    1. Realized that AFTER I drew the next page, but it has six legs.

    2. Mutant Graboid! lol, no offense or anything, just had to say that because Tremors was mentioned. (PS: I’m new here and I’ve read the entire story so far and I think it’s great.)

      1. It was called an a$$ blaster. 😀

        1. There’s a good reason that people don’t talk much about Tremors 2.

It’s probably because it was worse than Tremors. Which took some doing.

        2. I still can’t believe they decided to make a 3rd and 4th Tremors movie (and I’ve just found out there was a tv series).
@Admin The first set was Graboids, the ones Aurioch mentions from the second movie are shriekers (The ones with thermal vision), and the a**blasters are from the third movie (The flying ones). This must be the next evolution which means that graboids are aliens and not prehistoric! :3

        3. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen any of them, but I have watched them all.

        4. To correct you, it is called a Shrieker. ABs are the third form.

      2. Well that was a very controversial comment lol

  9. *facepalm* Pfffft. Trasik always picks monsters with gaping weaknesses. Hit the grey wurm in the mouths, Find the soft spot on the beetle. That’s the bad thing about insect-type creatures; most have weak points that are as effective as a self destruct button.

Of course I wouldn’t mind being wrong about this but knowing Trasik and bug-type creatures this looks pretty good for Lexx.

  10. Considering how fast he took out the last one prior to going up a few levels I’m really not that worried. This looks boring actually. I thought using a kid would have been a better tactic. Also I’m pretty sure the rules state she can do a 2:1 attack provided the combined levels don’t surpass Lexx’s or something like that. That’s why in the beginning Lexx’s dice were able to team up and go after the other dice.

    1. I think the kids would’ve been a better tactic. One thought on why she didn’t use them is that Trasik isn’t heartless enough to use them (which isn’t true) and another is that she’s too dumb to think of something like that. I think she’s too dumb.

  11. Oh look! It’s the son and daughter of Cthulu.
Last time I fought Cthulu in Borderlands, winning was easy.
Seems to me that Trasik might be too blinded by her own greed to actually learn from her previous mistakes.
    The smart money’s on Lexx.

    1. Lexx, in the 8th round, with a TKO.

I count at least 8 tentacles on the Cthuloid looking thing and 6 eyes on each head. That’s enough to run both sets of tentacles indepentently of each other. And the other creature is probably very fast and intended to harry Lexx into getting caught by the other creature.

I think Lexx will win, eventually.

  12. Anyone wanna bet that the tentacally thing gets a head chopped off and suddenly grows another 2 a’la hydra?

  13. I’m guessing that it’s like playing Magic the Gathering: These two creatures might not be individually powerful, but perhaps they have unique abilities that complement one another that we haven’t seen yet, that Tarsik thinks can be used to defeat Lexx together.

  14. Also – note, Lexx is level 20~ish. these are both level 20s. just a thing to remember.

    1. Not necessarily. All we know at this point is that their maximum level is 20.

  15. I’ve been wondering why Trasik thinks she can get away with this when EVERYTHING that goes on near Lexx is live broadcasted to half the galaxy. Seriously, all they need to do is say “Oh yea, Trasik kidnapped Chell from her home” and sit back and wait for the cops to show up.
