It was late in the day by the time Chel had been seen by several doctors, had her shoulder stitched as well as it could be and received several painful shots. Her brother and sister were sitting nearby with worried looks on their faces. They weren't so much worried about Chel as they were when their parents found out. "How did you get those gashes again?" The doctor who had overseen the stitching and shots inquired. He kept checking the clipboard in his hands, even though he was the one who had written down the supposed cause of Chel's injuries. "Chelsea, you need to file a police report if-" "I got scratched by an iguana." Chel responded flatly. She tried to sound more annoyed that she was being questioned than trying to convince herself of the lie. "That was some iguana, Chel-" The doctor continued. He was concerned that Chel had been in an accident caused by something other than a large green lizard. "It was an accident. Can I go now?" Chel sounded as innocent as she could. She really wanted to leave. "I can pick up a prescription on the way home." They had asked her several times about what caused the gashes. At the time, an iguana seemed like a good choice. Their neighbor had a five foot long one that had incredibly long claws. It had never actually clawed them, but Chel assumed it could leave some nasty lacerations. "We'd like to keep you here overnight for observation," The doctor persisted. "I'm not staying here tonight." Chel shook her head. She was determined to leave, but still held to the table by a slight fear of what they might do if she tried to leave if they didn't want her to. Could they keep her here if they wanted to? What would they do? She mused over the possibilities of having to make a break for the door, but remained seated on the table.
