There were ostriches everywhere and they had Dash surrounded. He roared at them and slapped at the nearest ones with claws extended. They darted around Dash, easily keeping a steady speed and making it difficult for him to keep them all in view. When they got behind him, they would snake their crimson crested white heads in and snatch a beak full of feathers or fur.
Dash had to keep moving and waiting for them to get close enough to actually jump on. "I'm going to have nightmares about this for the rest of my life!" Dash growled to himself in exasperation. This was simply annoying and he didn't have any backup. Why had Lexx chosen him for this one?! Lexx was torturing him, wasn't he?

All Lexx’s dice know each other and have been through the cycle twice before — so why is Dash so confused? Hasn’t he ever fought this particular dice before? If not, then why did Lexx choose him?
