Lexx stalled, waiting for the weapon to fully form. It was a simple blade, forming along the length of his right arm and extending sharply behind his fingers with a golden light undulating up and down the crimson blade. He held it up at the perfect angle to make it quick, even though he didn't want to do it. This was wrong. There was NO reason for Acadiu to die.
Acadiu was still struggling against Lexx, but not very strongly. He was done.
Riley, Claudia, Saign and her dice stared at the pair a good distance away. They could see the battle was over, but none knew why Lexx was stalling. Riley's attempts at talking to Lexx were completely blocked by a wall of darkness. Saign's mouth was open, but she seemed to shock by the sudden end of the fight to say anything,… until Koanei stepped forward and placed his hand on Saign's shoulder, shaking her slightly.
"Saign! Stop them!" Koanei demanded sharply, "This has gone too far! He's going to kill Acadiu! You promised that you would never put us in a situation like this!" He pushed Saign forward, deliberately trying to get her to move or say something. "You promised us! You can't let him kill Acadiu! It isn't worth it!"
